CS @ NYIT • Graduating May 2027
Ryan King
I build practical products across the stack and use ML where it helps. I am open to Spring 2026 internships as well as during-semester internships, including winter, for full stack, ML, and quant and finance roles.

About
I have a passion for building practical, shipped products. Some of my recent work includes MantaGuard, a Chrome extension that detects and blocks AI-generated images in real time. I also built NextRoutes, a clean React and Vite site focused on career planning, and KingQuant, a private backtesting platform I use to develop and test strategies.
I enjoy clear specs, measurable outcomes, and good developer ergonomics. I am comfortable owning features end to end across a React and Vite front end and a Python and FastAPI back end with my own database, and I add ML only where it makes sense.
Selected work
- MantaGuard: Chrome extension that flags and blocks AI-generated images in real time (JS, TensorFlow.js, Firebase).
- NextRoutes: React and Vite front end with a FastAPI backend and my own database; focused on clean UX, search, and structured data.
- KingQuant: Private Python and FastAPI backtesting platform that's utilized to develop and test strategies (equity and options).
